Vietnam, Water and Puppets

We’re not too old for playin’ with puppets!!

At the end of Semptember I meet the water puppets guild Hong Phong, in a small village in Hai Duong province, in the North of Vietnam.

The general director of the group introduce me to their puppets maker, a kind old man of the Bo Duong village.

They show me how they build and repair puppets.

Enjoy the video!!!

The music is from the water puppets sketch “The phoenix dance” performed by the musicians of National Puppetry Theatre in Hanoi.

You can find the Hong Phong puppetry guild in Bo Duong village,Ninh tho commune, Ninh Giang District, Hai Duong province, Vietnam.
